The Associazione Templari Cattolici d’Italia is pleased to announce the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the Minister of Justice for the carrying out of community service work for the benefit of the community.
The protocol comes after several years of discussion with a number of courts, and provides for cooperation between the Associazione Templari Cattolici d’Italia and the Ministry of Justice for adult defendants who benefit from the suspension of proceedings with probation, converting it into community service dedicated to the enhancement of historical and cultural heritage, the promotion of a culture of lawfulness, the enhancement of historical and artistic heritage of religious interest, and commitment to the common good.
The Associazione Templari Cattolici d’Italia, together with the Associazione Templari Oggi APS, is a cultural and religious organisation, active in Italy and abroad for over forty years, engaged in promoting the historical and spiritual knowledge of the Templars, as well as in enhancing the artistic and architectural heritage linked to them through the custody of abandoned churches and places of worship — ensuring their upkeep, providing an order-keeping service during liturgical events, and setting up exhibitions and small museums.
This collaboration with the Ministry of Justice represents an important opportunity for the Association to place at the disposal of Society and its Institutions its more than forty years of volunteer experience in the service of the community and the common good, involving its three thousand members across 150 locations in Italy.
The Templars are committed to carrying out the community service work with the utmost professionalism and care, in compliance with the regulations in force and the needs of the community.
