In the fourth quarter of 2023, the Templars carried out 400 volunteer services at churches, basilicas, sanctuaries, abbeys, at 150 of their locations, in 6 different countries around the world and helping to welcome over 30,000 pilgrims. In total, 1600 volunteer services took place in 2023, or approximately 30 per week, in addition to the 15 spiritual retreats and weekly meetings in all locations.
The Templars Today carry out voluntary service for the joy of bearing witness to the Risen Christ who corroborates their life on a daily basis.
The services are carried out in agreement with the Dioceses and the parish priests.
The year 2023 started with the Spiritual Retreats in Rome and Milan with related Silent Walks for the Faith and testimony in the main squares; the meeting with Mons. Fisichella, Cardinal Sarah, the prayer at the tomb of the Holy Father Benedict XVI, the March for Life in Washington DC in the United States of America.
The year then continued with spiritual retreats in Paris, Piacenza, Milan, Latina and the accompaniment of Our Lady of Fatima. The Hermitage of San Marco in Ascoli Piceno is also reopened and the important collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Justice is highlighted with the activation of the Memorandum of Understanding for Public Utility Works through the Templar reality.
The summer then saw the Spiritual Retreats in Trani, the historic walk through the streets of Manhattan in New York, France and Turin.
In the last quarter, noteworthy were the Spiritual Retreats in Chiaravalle with 400 Templars from all over the world and the night prayer vigil on 21 December with H.E. Mons. Giovanni d’Ercole.
The Templars are an increasingly consolidated and widespread reality throughout the world.
