On the occasion of the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, Patrons of the City of Rome, at the Ancient and Venerable Papal Basilica of Saint Paul Outside the Walls, the Templars, after carrying out their customary weekend service at the Jubilee Holy Door, took part in the Solemn Procession of the Chains.
The procession was presided over by the Most Reverend Dom Donato Ogliari, O.S.B., Abbot of Saint Paul Outside the Walls, with His Eminence James Michael Cardinal Harvey, Archpriest of the Basilica. The procession, accompanied by the classical concert band “A. Panizza” from the City of Frascati, concluded in front of the basilica's portico with the imparting of the Solemn Blessing with the Venerable Relic of the Chains.
